AMx / Workforce

Building the next generation of manufacturing expertise.

VEC develops workforce programs that connect advanced manufacturing education with real-world industry experience.

Through the Advanced Manufacturing eXperience (AMx), participants gain hands-on exposure to additive manufacturing, work on industry-relevant projects, visit manufacturing facilities, and develop the technical and professional skills needed for careers in advanced manufacturing.

Working with university and industry partners, AMx gives participants practical experience while helping manufacturers develop a pipeline of emerging technical talent.

02

Real-world industry projects

Participants work on problems supplied by manufacturing partners, not classroom exercises.

03

Facility tours

Direct exposure to production environments and the people who run them.

04

Professional skills

Communication, documentation and teamwork that make technical talent immediately useful.
