VEC was founded by Mike Vasquez, PhD, to help organizations navigate the gap between what advanced manufacturing technologies can do and what they should actually do with them.

A materials scientist by training, Mike has spent his career working across the manufacturing ecosystem, alongside technology developers, material producers, manufacturers, government organizations, and industrial end users. His work spans technology strategy, application development, materials and process development, qualification, workforce development, and the practical challenges of scaling new manufacturing capabilities.

Mike earned bachelor's and master's degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT and a PhD focused on Additive Manufacturing from Loughborough University.

That combination of technical depth, industry perspective, and hands-on implementation experience allows VEC to operate where many of the hardest manufacturing decisions sit: between technical possibility and practical deployment.
